KLTR’s Ownerless Property Transfer Scheme: Bringing Ownerless Properties Back Into Use
Ownerless properties and land are an issue across Scotland. A new consultation on the Ownerless Property Transfer Scheme has been launched by the King's and Lord Treasurer's Remembrancer (KLTR), which aims to bring ownerless properties back into productive use. The scheme will create opportunities for public bodies, local authorities, community groups and other key stakeholders to work collaboratively to help transform ownerless land and buildings into functioning public assets. Under proposals for the scheme, ownerless properties will be sold to public sector partners for a nominal sum where it is in the public interest to do so.
Join us on Tuesday 29 November from 12 noon to 1pm, for this webinar with Richard Frew, Head of Policy, KLTR; Susan MacDonald, Senior Policy Advisor, KLTR; Katy Cummiskey, Policy Advisor, KLTR; and James MacKessack-Leitch, Policy and Practice Lead, Scottish Land Commission; as they introduce the work of the KLTR, explore the proposals for the new scheme, and share how you can get involved in the consultation.
